8-man Premade Huttball with comms…
would be really fun.
Some plays I’ve wanted to try out:
At the very beginning of the game, send a fast player out to grab the ball, which they then pass back to the designated carrier with his defensive posse.
Then you have two ‘ball carrying’ pods of three players, (a shadow/assassin OR a sentinel/marauder with a tank shielding & peeling and a healer topping up and CCing). These two pods would work together to shift the ball quickly.
For example, one pod would run over/around the acid pit up the lower ramps, while the other pod quickly moved to a top ramp. Then it’s an easy pass up the ramps, and the new pod can now run the ball over the line.
Anyway, I am really looking forward to being able to run 8-man premades in warzones.
The transition from 49 to 50 in PvP…
… is really rough. I went from topping the table almost every WZ to barely squeaking out 3 medals. I hope it improves as I gear up over the next week or so. I used to see competent lvl 15s give lvl 40+s a very hard time in the 10-49 bracker, but I suspect it will take me a looooong time before I can 1v1 a Battlemaster.
Ok, so I know I haven’t posted anything in ages. I’ve been playing!
But I thought I’d comment on my first bracketed WarZone match. I play a fair amount of PvP, sitting at valour level 24 or something.
Anyway, the match was Voidstar, which I love, and I was ops leader (at lvl 37, lol), which made me nervous. If I’m the most experienced PvPer on my side…
Anyway, you can see how it turned out. It was actually very close. They managed to defuse a bomb in our attack phase, which won them the game. I picked up the most medals ever, with 6. My best is usually about 4.
Despite the loss and the one guy in chat raging at us for still sucking despite the sub-50 opposition, I thought we did ok. Yes, we were carrying a couple of total n00bs. Yes, they probably forgot to stop some caps. But overall, I thought the game was much closer than usual, and there were no broken lvl50 operatives running about one-shotting people.
I’ll definitely be playing more warzones now, and would encourage you to do so as well, if you’ve been putting it off.
Q:I'm having the exct same problem as that anon. Never deal with Best Buy my friend. They are evil.
I’m in Australia, and believe me, I never intend to!
Q:Ok if I preprdered at Best buy should I get an emil from best buy about early access? becuse i'm tired of wating for my code. Like seriously, I'm mad at best buy.
I ordered through Amazon, and they emailed me the preorder code almost immediately. I’ve heard nothing but grief from people who used Best Buy, but I’ve never had to deal with them myself so IDK.
Join Me!
Ok, so I got my EA invite, and am playing Harkk on The Swiftsure (US-West PvP server, ie the semi-official Oceania PvP server). If you want to defend the Republic, come join me!
All of the QQ on the forums = this.
Language Warning, also probably NSFW.
Q:You should consider making a Republic character on Hyperspace Cannon. :D
Cheers, but the Oceanic community is trying to stick together so we have people to fight and stuff in PvP. Swiftsure it is!
Why I’m not posting as much as I was
I’ve stopped posting about SWTOR because I realised I was at a crossroads.
I had mapped out my keybinds for my main character and was practising rotations to build muscle memory.
I had mapped out the classes, advanced classes, dark/light side leanings, talent trees and crew skills for not just my main character, but all eight I plan to play.
I was reading every. single. tweet. in the #SWTOR feed. (By the way, if your guild needs an edge, I know a guy).
Also tumblr and reddit.
I even had SWTOR dreams, though tbh I’ve been having those for months.
I was listening to 2-hour long SWTOR podcasts from months back.
I was losing myself to a freakin computer game.
So I’m making a choice to step back. Early Access will come when it comes.
In the meantime, I’m hitting the squat rack, walking outside, playing with my kids, spending quality time with my wife. Working.
Because maker knows I ain’t going to be doing none of those things when that email arrives.
Q:How do you know wgat server you are on
If you were part of a pre-launch guild, you can login on swtor.com and click COMMUNITY > GUILDS to see where your guild has been placed. But the placings aren’t binding or final. I’ll go to the RP-PVP server with the most Oceanic players.
